Well, here we are with our first blog for Lil Ashley's Closet. When Ashley was born it was such a unique experience to feel all the emotions a new parent with a child with dwarfism can have. We feel so blessed to have been chosen to raise our special little girl. It is so awesome to have such a great inspiration for crafting and sewing.
I've been crafting all my life and running a business online for the past several years but when Ashley came it all changed. Little did I know that everything I had been crafting and honing skills was in preparation for what I would need to give her clothes that fit her and made me happy. This has been a long process and after tons of comments that I needed to offer my designs to other parents here it is. Yaay!! Lil Ashley's Closet is up and running in the beginning stages.
Our Etsy site has been up and running for just a short time now, so I'm excited to say we're getting ready to send our first check to the LPA. We are donating a portion of all our sales from both sites to the LPA. We will be having promotions, sales, giveaways and contests as we get more situated. We're so excited!!
We're working daily, but moving slow at first to be sure everything is in place to have a quick production time for orders. On the end of a honeymoon and the kids going back to school, we're behind a bit, but we'll get there soon with daily work!!
I have been working on LilAshleysCloset.com for several months (in between wedding preparations) We're so excited to be able to share all these things with everyone. This is the start of what we hope to be a place where parents can come for years when Ashley takes over as she gets older. Hopefully you will be able to watch and grow with us in this new endeavor as you follow what new things we are up to:)
She LOVES to craft and sit on my lap as I sew and be in the middle of anything I am working on. She is very patient and has a knack for doing things just as she's sees them. Even when I adjust for her, she still goes back to what she saw me doing.
Here are a picture of Ashley & big Sis Bri helping out with the crafts for the wedding.
Above are fondant flowers we made for our wedding cake. Ashley made the cutest little leaves to go with these. Yes, those leaves you see, she actually rolled out with the pin ( a tiny bit of help with that) and she cut them and pulled them from the leaf mold.
It's just like working with clay which I make jewelry out of. (below) I will carry the clay flower jewelry in our store as soon as I get more made. The twins and I made every piece for our bridesmaids jewelry petal by petal in all original designs. If you see something in particular you like or would like to see, send me an e-mail
.
Below are a couple flowers and bows that are a small bit of what we carry in our Etsy shop. We will soon carry these and be able to do checkout through our " .com" site as well. But until that is up and running and we have our grand opening you can find lots of things at our etsy store www.lilashleyscloset.etsy.com you can click on the widget too and that will take you there. Welcome And Thanks for your support!!
